About:  My wife, Jodie, and I have one child, Sydney. I am a 1984 graduate of Newburg United. I took my first teaching position in 1989 in Westhope.  I taught mathematics. In 1995, I was hired as Secondary Principal/Teacher at Newburg United.  In 1998, I became the Superintendent/Secondary Principal at Newburg United. In 2005 I became the Superintendent at the Bottineau Public Schools. I enjoy attending Bottineau Public School activities, spending time with my family and ice fishing.

In response to our recent external evaluation we are transitioning to a PLC model school. In a PLC (Professional Learning Community) student learning is the focus. To ensure student learning at a high level teachers will need time to collaborate. This is done on a weekly basis. Teachers will have a designated time in which to meet as a team or department and discuss three core questions. What do we want all students to learn? How will we know if they learned it? What will we do if they didn’t learn it? This is done for every course taught....

Dear Patrons, I hope this letter finds everyone doing well. Hopefully you have enjoyed the summer and are ready for the 2016-2017 school year. It was another very busy summer at the school. Below I would like to highlight a few of the summer projects. 1. Painting: The staff did a lot of painting over the summer. The painting was done at Central, Middle, and the Jr./Sr. High School.
