ND Leadership Seminar

  • Current Sophomores – we can send ONE student
  • May 31-June 2 on the campus of University of Mary, Bismarck
  • focus on leadership development, providing motivation and encouraging volunteerism
  • transportation to and from campus and personal spending are the only costs – the seminar is free
  • a wonderful experience that will put you one step ahead on college/scholarship applications
  • the first person who shows interest will be allowed to register and attend

 

Summer Camps at Valley City State University

BAIT (Business And Information Technology)

  • campers will compete using an enterprise resource planning serious simulation game on the same technology used by ND companies across the state as well as NEW competitions for returning campers.

STEM SUMMER COURSE 2013

STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) Arts & Engineering Course – Valley City State University

June 17-June 20 at Valley City

(Only High School Students-Grades 9-12) (Optional to arrive Sunday evening)

Valley City State University is providing a hands-on Design Course that introduces scientific concepts re-framed in Artistic terms and applied across traditional Engineering disciplines. High School Students both analytical and creative will be allowed to pursue these convergent and complimentary subjects sparking interest in studying a particular Engineering Field while also attaining secondary study in the College of Fine Arts. By using the School of Fine Arts to broaden Engineering and Design perspective an Engineering Sciences major modified with Studio Art will greatly enhance the students’ ability to think and perform more creatively. Students will learn to recognize and critically analyze major Engineering Structures and Architecture as works of Art. As a residence camp, students will enjoy evenings on VCSU picturesque campus through various fun and engaging activities. Valley City State University $225

Bank of ND – Blog for $1000 Scholarship

The College Planning Center at Bank of ND is recruiting high school juniors and seniors; college freshman, sophomores, and juniors; and parents of high school and college students to blog about the college planning and college experience

10 people will be selescted to blog 3-4 times each month, Aug2013-June14.  Student bloggers will receive a $1000 college scholarship for 13-14 or 14-15 school year.  For the parents selected, the scholarship will be given to the child attending college.

  • learn by doing government simulation, attendees run for office, form their own state government and assume the roles of disaster managers, legislators, ,and serve as the voice of ND youth.  The week includes leaders in business, law, medicine, former and current members of Congress, governors, senators and representatives
