ALERT Magazine – $500
• must be a senior in high school
• GPA of 2.5 or higher
• Plan to attend college after graduation
• Write an essay (650-800 words, double spaced) about a person encounter you or someone you know has had with drugs and/or alcohol abuse, how it was dealt with, what you learned from it and what was right or wrong (in your opinion) about the way the incident or problem was handled.
• No application and no deadline

Real Deal Scholarship
• Must have 2.5 GPA or better
• Must attend a ND college or university in the fall of 2014
• Involvement in three or more extracurricular activities (entrepreneurship, volunteerism, music, sport, school clubs, organizations or other accomplishments).
• Written response to “what even has greatly influenced your education plans?”
• Random drawing each month Oct-March for 8 – $500 scholarships (only need to apply once)

Farm Credit Services
32- $1000 scholarships
• recipient must be from an actively farming or ranching family OR planning to pursue an agricultural career — meaning that seniors from a farming or ranching family are eligible regardless of career intentions…OR seniors intending to pursue ag careers are eligible, regardless of whether they have a farm background.
• Selection is based on academic record, personal attributes, vocational promise, leadership and financial need.
• Application deadline is March 1, 2014.

ND Crop Improvement & Seed Association
• 3 scholarships to the NDSU College of Agriculture for incoming freshman – $1000 (3)
• application deadline is Feb 15
• applicant and/or guardian must be a member of respective county crop improvement (Ag) association

Ronald McDonald House Charities – US Scholarship Program
• 4 scholarships available – go to to learn more about each one and to apply

North Central Electric /Basin Electric Power Scholarship
• 2 scholarships for student attending DCB, 2 scholarships for students attending Turtle Mt. Community College and 2 for any college in ND
• must be dependent child of North Central Electric Cooperative consumer
• Application must be returned to office by Feb. 14, 2014

Chevy Scholar Program
• Finalists will be chosen based on community involvement, academic achievements, extracurricular activities and volunteer work.
• Students must got to to download the nomination form (can nominate self or be nominated by someone), or they can get a form from their local West Dakota Chevy Dealer. A list of the dealers and their areas can be found at

Buick Achievers Scholarship Program
• High school seniors and current undergraduates may apply
• Must plan to ender full time in fall 2014
• Must plan to major in a field of study that focuses on engineering, technology design or business, with an interest in the automotive industry
• Application deadline is Feb. 28

Bottineau Farmers Elevator
• The purpose is to recognize academic achievements as well as leadership skills of high school seniors interested in pursuing a career in agriculture
• $500
• application due March 1

SRT College Scholarship Program
Eligible if :
• you receive any service from SRT
• Must enroll in college fall 2014
• Must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher
• 4- $1000 scholarships based on community involvment, school activities, essay, GPA and appearance of application
• Mail applications by March 3, 2014
• or in Mrs. Glasner’s room

2014 College Scholarship Ptrogram – Foundation for Rural Service
• must be sponsored by a current NTCA member (SRT), have a 2.0 GPA, express an interest to return to a rural community following graduation

• postmarked to SRT by Feb 21

Pheasants Forever
• Must be a dependent of a member of Pheasants Forever
• Application in Mrs. Glasner’s room. Deadline is March 15, 2014

Gate City Bank
• applicant must be a senior and plan on attending college in the fall of 2014
• must attend at least a two year program in ND, MN, SD, or MT
• criteria taken into consideration will include: scholastic excellence, extra curricular activities community involvement, and financial need

Prairy State Plant Managers Group College Scholarship
• $1000 to be awarded to a ND high school graduate for a 2-year electronics, telecommunications, or electronics/telecommunications program
• application in file in Mrs. Glasner’s room – deadline is April 5, 2014

Dakota College at Bottineau Scholarships
• $2500 Bottineau County Residents
• amount varies for students living outside of Bottineau county but good students
