ALERT Magazine – $500

  • must be a senior in high school
  • GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Plan to attend college after graduation
  • Write an essay (650-800 words, double spaced) about a person encounter you or someone you know has had with drugs and/or alcohol abuse, how it was dealt with, what you learned from it and what was right or wrong (in your opinion) about the way the incident or problem was handled.
  • No application and no deadline

Buick Achievers Scholarship Program

  • High school seniors and current undergraduates may apply
  • Must plan to ender full time in fall 2014
  • Must plan to major in a field of study that focuses on engineering, technology design or business, with an interest in the automotive industry
  • Application deadline  is Feb. 28

ND Farmers Union Scholarship

Farm Credit Services

32- $1000 scholarships

  • recipient must be from an actively farming or ranching family OR planning to pursue an agricultural career  — meaning that seniors from a farming or ranching family are eligible regardless of career intentions…OR seniors intending to pursue ag careers are eligible, regardless of whether they have a farm background.
  • Selection is based on academic record, personal attributes, vocational promise, leadership and financial need.
  • Application deadline is March 1, 2014.

  • The purpose is to recognize academic achievements as well as leadership skills of high school seniors interested in pursuing a career in agriculture
  • $500

SRT College Scholarship Program

Eligible if :

  • you receive any service from SRT
  • Must  enroll in college fall 2014
  • Must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher
  • 4- $1000 scholarships  based on community involvement, school activities, essay, GPA and appearance of application
  • Mail applications by March 3, 2014
  • or in Mrs. Glasner’s room

Kohl’s Cares Scholarship (for Volunteers)

Western Agency Scholarship

  • Must be enrolling full time in psot secondary education in upcoming school year
  • Must have GPA of 3.0 or better

Pheasants Forever

  • Must be a dependent of a member of Pheasants Forever
  • Application in Mrs. Glasner’s  room.  Deadline is March 15, 2014


Minot Rotary Club

  • Based on Scholastic Ability, Leadership Qualities, School & Community Activities, Awards & Honors
  • Open to any student planning gon pursuing any postsecondary education

United Telephone Educational Foundation Scholarship

  • Students whose parent or guardian who receives services from United Communications or Turtle Mountain Communications is eligible

Gate City Bank

  • applicant must be a senior and plan on attending college in the fall of 2014
  • must attend at least a two year program in ND, MN, SD, or MT
  • criteria taken into consideration will include: scholastic excellence, extra curricular activities community involvement, and financial need

Pringle & Herigstad, P.C. Scholarship Program

  • 6- $500 scholarships
  • based on GPA, extra curricular activities, SAT/ACT scores and a copy of a writing sample of applicant’s choice

Bottineau County Employee Scholarship

  • $300 scholarship to a senior in Bottineau County who will be attending college for the 2014-2015 school year.
  • Application due April 1.  Application in file

Prairie State Plant Managers Group College Scholarship

  • $1000 to be awarded to a ND high school graduate for a 2-year electronics, telecommunications, or electronics/telecommunications program
  • application in file in Mrs. Glasner’s room – deadline is April 5, 2014


Bottineau Education Association Scholarship

  • Awarded to an individual who is pursuing a degree in teacher education.  Priority will be given to students attending ND and tri state area colleges.
  • Application, essay and transcript due to Mrs. Glasner or Mrs. Moum by April 17

Starion Financial Scholarship

  • Students must be graduate this spring from a Bottineau County High School and be a college or technical school this fall
  • At the time of scholarship application submission,  student or one of their parents must have an account relationship with Starion Financial
  • $500 – applications due May 1
