Notes from the Superintendent

Dear Patrons,

The month of February has now come and gone. Time certainly has been going by very fast. Our winter sports are coming to a close and spring will soon be here. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate and stay nice.

The school district will be having our last early out on Thursday, March 24th. The school district will be offering a half day of professional development for our teachers. Central School students will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m. The buses will leave the the Middle School at 12:45 p.m.

Our second Parent/Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Tuesday, March 15th and Tuesday, March 22nd. The times for conferences are from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. There will be no school on Friday, March 25th, Monday, March 28th (this is Parent/Teacher Compensation Day) and Tuesday, March 29th (extended break). If needed March 29th will be used as storm make-up day.

The district will have a speaker for 6-12th grade students on Thursday, April 14th. Bob Upgren will be speaking to our 6-8 grade students and 9-12th grade students in two different sessions about making positive choices. He is a very will known speaker. His presentation will also include a chalk drawing. I believe our students will really enjoy his presentation. Mr Upgren will also speak during the evening of April 14th at 7:00 p.m. in the James Holwell Auditorium. This will be open to the public and will be a free will donation. I would encourage you to place this date on your calendar. The presentation will be worth it.

From my family to yours, have a safe and enjoyable Easter!
