Varsity Tutors Monthly College Scholarship Contest

  • Monthly chance to win $1000

Reuben T. Guenthner Scholarship

  • 2- $350 scholarships

  • the applicant must have completed one or more CTE (career & tech ed) courses between 9th and 12th grade

  • Must enroll in a 2-year ND public postsecondary institution

  • Must enroll full time in a CTE program of two years or less

  • complete application at https://www.nd.gov/cte/students/RTGScholarship.html by April 1

Western Agency Scholarship

  • Must be enrolling as a full time student in post secondary education in upcoming school year

  • Must have GPA of 3.0 or better

  • Necessary information:  Name and Address, Parents Names and Address, HS transcript, High School Name and Address

  • Written Summary Including:  any special circumstances you have overcome or still face – a brief outline of your background – involvement in groups/organizations/activities at your high school – your intended major course of study and college plans – plans following college graduation and career goals

  • Application due by April 11

Pheasants Forever Scholarship

  • Must be a dependent of a member of Pheasants Forever

  • Must enroll as a full time student in fall of 2016

  • application in Mrs. Glasner’s office

  • Deadline April 15, 2016

State Bank of Bottineau “Denims for a Cause” Scholarship

  • $750 Scholarship for a student who will be attending Dakota College at Bottineau in the fall

  • Application Deadline April 15, 2016

Pringle & Herigstad Scholarship Program

  • 6- $500 Scholarships from schools in Northwest ND

  • Submit the following by April 15 to Pringle & Herigstad Law Firm

— copy of high school transcript and ACT scores, copy of small senior photo in sealed

envelope, copy of a recent writing sample and a personal resume

Bottineau Education Association Scholarship

  • $750 scholarship to an individual who is pursuing a degree in teacher education.  The scholarship money will be awarded at the beginning of the second semester of your college freshman year.

  • Completed application form, essay and transcript due to Ms. Jostad by April 22

Starion Financial Scholarship

  • $500 Scholarship to graduation seniors

  • Must be attending a college or technical school in fall 2016

  • Student or one of their parents/guardian must have an account relationship with Starion Financial

  • Application Deadline May 2, 2016

Lake Metigoshe Lions Scholarship

  • $500 to Dakota College at Bottineau for fall 2016

  • Application consists of 3 questions (in file in Mrs. Glasner’s room)

  • Applications due to Mrs. Grosgebauer by May 2, 2016

Associated General Contractors of ND Scholarships

  • $1500 Scholarship available at NDSU for those majoring in Construction Management and Construction Engineering

  • 2- $500 Scholarship to a Westhope/Souris/Bottineau High School Senior

  • Must be a son/daughter of a local patron

  • Applicants must demonstrate academic promise and accomplishments

  • Must be registered as a first year student at an accredited 2 or 4 year college

  • Completed application due May 6

Alert Magazine Scholarship

  • $500 Scholarship

  • Senior in high school with a 2.5 or higher GPA

  • Write an essay(600-800 words, double spaced) about a personal encounter you or someone you know whas had with drug and/or alcohol abuse.  Discuss how it was dealt with, what you learned from the experience and what was right or wrong(in your opinion) about the way the incident or problem was handled.
