Notes from the Superintendent

Dear Patrons,

The month of March brought us another storm day. On Tuesday, March 7th, school was not in session. To make up this day the district will be adding an additional half hour onto the day for twelve days. This means our school day will be extended by a half hour from Monday, March 20th to Monday, April 24th. By going this route this takes care of two of our storm makeup days.

The school district hired a firm by the name of RSP & Associates to conduct a five year enrollment analysis. The information they presented to the board on March 13th can be found on the school districts website. A person can click on Planning for the Future: Status of Enrollment, under recent posts. I would encourage each of you to read the information provided. I think you will find it interesting.

Our last early out for the year will be on Thursday, April 13th for professional development for the staff. Central School students will be dismissed at 12:30 pm. The buses will leave the middle school at 12:45 pm. There will be no school on Friday, April 14th (Good Friday) and Monday, April 17th for the Easter Break.

From my family to yours, have a safe and enjoyable Easter weekend.

Jason Kersten
