The start of winter and basketball season is approaching fast!  Be on the lookout for some things that will be sent home with your son/daughter.  Jr. Braves camp will be starting on November 2nd and running to December 14th.  A flyer will be sent home next week with tons of more information.  Open Gyms are starting up now as well.  Open gyms are open to all kids grades 7-12 boys and girls.  We will have open gym on...

Returning this year….

Only 57 days until the start of basketball season!  We have reason to be optimistic this year.  Last year we were coming in very green.  We had 1 starter returning, 1 reserve coming back and everybody else was new.  We had  a rather steep learning curve.  We competed to the end, losing to Velva in the District tournament by only a few points.  Velva went on to beat Drake/Anamoose and advance to the region tournament....

It’s Close!

Wrapping Things Up

Basketball season came to an abrupt end on Friday the 15th.  We started the district tournament out against #1 seeded Rugby.  I was extremely happy with the way the kids opened the game.  We came out intense, and executed things great!  Rugby is such a good team that a team cannot afford to relax one bit against them.  I feel like we exhaled after the first quarter and relaxed.  Rugby pounced on us and never relented....
