Notes from the Superintendent

Dear Patrons, The month of March brought us another storm day. On Tuesday, March 7th, school was not in session. To make up this day the district will be adding an additional half hour onto the day for twelve days. This means our school day will be extended by a half hour from Monday, March 20th to Monday, April 24th. By going this route this takes care of two of our storm makeup days. The school district hired a firm by the name of RSP & Associates to conduct a five year enrollment analysis. The information they presented to the board...

Dear Patrons, Where does the time go? February has now come to an end. The month of March brings the start of our spring activity practices. Hopefully, spring weather will now follow and we can put winter in our rearview mirror. The school district will be having an early out on Wednesday, March 15th. The school district will be offering a half day of professional development for our staff. Central School students will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m. The buses will leave the the Middle School at 12:45 p.m. There will be no school on Thursday, March...

Storm Make Up Days

I am writing this letter in regards to the storm make up days.  Currently, the district has missed four days of school.  These days will need to be made up and will not be forgiven or waived by Governor Burgum.  I received correspondence from the state last Friday, February 17.  The correspondence I received stated Governor Burgum’s position at this time is not to support waiving any storm days. The district does have a plan in place to make up the four days missed in November and December of this school year.  Three of the days will be...

Notes from the Superintendent

Dear Patrons, The month of January is now in the books. The weather turned from very cold in the beginning of the month to a much nicer and bearable temperature, with already missing four days of school, I am hoping the remainder of the winter keeps the snow and ice away. The district will have an early out on Friday, February 17th. This will be used as a professional development activity for our staff. Buses will leave Central School at 12:30 p.m. and 12:45 p.m. from the Middle School. The district has missed four days of school because of...
