Bottineau School Board Election Notice

As per Governor Burgum’s Executive Order 2020-19 issued on April 2, 2020 relating to the COVID-19 Pandemic, he has waived our statutory requirement to designate one or more physical polling locations and will permit school districts to conduct their 2020 annual school board election via absentee ballot. At the Bottineau School Board Meeting the Bottineau Board voted to hold our June 2, 2020 election by absentee ballot only and will not have a polling place for voters to come and cast their vote.

How do you vote:

1. The ND Secretary of State will be mailing out Absentee/Mail Ballot Applications to all patrons. If you would like to vote in our Annual Election to be held June 2, 2020 you will need to select the “School Election” box and then a ballot will be mailed to you.

2. You can also request an Absentee/Mail Ballot Application form from the Business Manager, Deborah Nelson, via one of three ways: A. Email request to Deborah.Nelson@k12.nd.us

B. Mail request to Bottineau Public School 301 Brander St Bottineau, ND 58318

C. Fax request to #701-228-2021

In your request, you will need to provide the mailing address, email address or fax number that you would like your application returned to.

Due to the COVID-19 social distancing orders by Governor Burgum, requests will not be taken over the phone as staff are working remotely and not at the school on a regular basis.

All Absentee Ballots must be post marked by June 1, 2020 so please get your Absentee Ballot Application submitted to ensure you will receive your Absentee Ballot in time to cast your vote.
