From Mrs. Costa: Horticulture class was awarded the North Dakota Department of Agriculture Farm to School Hydroponic Garden Grant this semester. The STEM project came with enough supplies to start a small indoor hydroponic garden.

*Coronation in the high school gym on Monday January 26th at 8:40 AM.
*Dodgeball Team Auction Monday January 26th during 8th hour in auditorium Grades 9-12
*Dodgeball Jar Wars Monday-Thursday in commons
*Students get into games for free during Snowfest Week
*Friday: Competition Cheer Team Showcase 9AM in high school gym. All are welcome!
*Friday: 9-12 Skating Arena 9:30-10:45. Students need to dress appropriately and ride the bus to the skating arena
*Friday: Snowfest Pep Rally 2:00

Hearing screening will be conducted January 26th and 27th in the Bottineau School System.
All Bottineau Public School students in preschool, kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 11th grades, and new students will have their hearing screened by the school’s Speech Language Pathologists.
If you DO NOT want your child’s hearing screened, please notify the school. You will only receive notification if your child does not pass the initial hearing screening, and the rescreening 6 weeks later.

Spanish 1 students researched and created PR materials to advertise travel to different Spanish speaking destinations in South America. They entered their products in our classroom competition, rated each product, and selected the winners. In 3rd place, a video promoting Perú by Sylvia G and Macey S. Tied for 1st place a poster promoting Chile by Reese H and Lily K and a video promoting Uruguay by Quentin H, Mason L, and Eli P.

Mrs. Brown's Business Communications class did a project on stacking cups using string and rubber bands focusing on the use how working together differed with the use of verbal and non verbal communication. One group was able to get the cups separated and stacked in a pyramid in under the 3 minute time frame!!

For one of our school outreach programs DECA students are sponsoring Teacher of the Quarter to show appreciation for our amazing teachers. We started this the second Quarter and the DECA officers chose Supportive as the teacher trait. Students were able to nominate the teacher they felt was the most supportive. Then the top five nominated teachers went on to be voted on as the Teacher of the Quarter for Quarter 2. Mrs. Bullinger was the winner of Quarter 2 for being the most supportive teacher. Congrats Mrs. Bullinger.
